A truck driver suffered a medical emergency that sent him crashing into a house on Thursday evening.
The accident happened on April 22nd in Indianapolis, Indiana at around 8:30 p.m.
According to Fox 59 News, the truck driver was traveling along Interstate 70 when he suddenly suffered a medical emergency. The driver then lost control of the rig and veered off the interstate near the intersection of East 16th Street and North Arsenal Avenue, through a guardrail, through a section of forest, and straight into a house nearing the end of construction.
No one was in the house at the time, and the truck driver was able to exit the rig himself. He was treated for minor injuries on scene. No further information was available on the driver’s condition.
“We don’t know all the factors that made him run off the roadway, attempted to gain control but he couldn’t and went down the hill,” said Lim Chol with the Indiana State Police.
